Did the Fortean Times favourite scientist Nikola Tesla ever meet the infamous British occultist Aleister Crowley?
In 1930 Tesla was 73 and lived in the New Yorker Hotel, while Aleister Crowley, who was 55 at the time was travelling the world under various assumed names and visited America briefly in January 1930 before he resurfaced in first in Portiugal and then Berlin.
Well, according to the pages of Manhattan 1930 they certainly came within a few pages of each other.
